Music
At Elmstead Wood Primary School, we believe that all children should have the opportunity to experience, achieve and enjoy the subject of music. We hope to promote a positive attitude in our children towards expressing musical ideas and appreciating music from different traditions.
Our music curriculum is a combination of Charanga's English Model Music Curriculum and instrumental teaching. Music instrumentation is provided through our ongoing work with the Bromley Youth Music Trust.
Instrumental lessons are available for KS2 children and children have the opportunity to learn guitar, piano and violin.
Our school choir is very popular and children have the opportunity to sing a wide variety of songs and perform at a range of events. The choir has the opportunity to go out into the community at Harvest, Christmas and Easter time to share their singing with a wider audience.
