Consultation on the proposed merger of Spring Trust into Maritime Academy Trust

The proposed merger brings together two Trusts with a shared vision, values and commitment to providing high‑quality education for children.

This opportunity will strengthen leadership capacity, increase opportunities for collaboration, and ensure long‑term sustainability for our schools, while preserving each school’s unique identity and local community links. By working together within one Trust, we can better support pupils, staff and wider communities.

A consultation process ran from 15th June to 14th July 2026 where we asked for feedback from all stakeholders including staff, parents/carers and wider partners. The feedback from the consultation was overwhelmingly supportive with 82.1% positive responses and 7.1% neutral.
